The Ishihara test is specifically designed to detect red-green color blindness, so if you have red-green color blindness, it is expected that you would not pass the test. The test is based on the ability to differentiate between specific shades of red and green, which individuals with red-green color blindness struggle with. Even though you may see colors normally in your day-to-day life, the Ishihara test is designed to specifically identify color vision deficiencies, which is why you may not pass the test despite having normal color vision in general. **
